Cuckoo Barn Lodge is an hour’s drive from major business cities such as Nottingham, Lincoln, Leicester, Peterborough and Cambridge and a couple of hours drive from London, York and Leeds. The A1 and M1 are close by and Oakham and Stamford train stations offer convenient connections to Birmingham, Peterborough and beyond.

Cycling, Water Sports, Rock Climbing, Falconry, Gardens, Fishing and Bird Watching. We also offer tailored Pilates sessions that take place in our own on site Studio.

There are a wealth of restaurants and pubs throughout the county and if you are looking for something a little more special then there are a couple of Michelin starred eateries too.

The large living area can easily be arranged to provide a small board room layout for up to 8 people with relaxing areas for those all-important informal discussions. Larger board meetings could be accommodated. Why not take a break and wander down the meadows to the stream to relax and clear your thoughts for some real blue sky thinking.

We are happy to discuss your requirements for a larger gathering and have room for a marquee adjoining the lodge to accommodate larger gatherings and receptions. A great place to hold a summer party or reception with a dry field to provide all the parking you could need.

There is ample parking. WiFi is available via a satellite connection. Presentations can be run through our 47 inch smart TV which has laptop connections. We will hire in any further equipment that you require.

The nearest railway stations are Stamford and Oakham 8 miles away and taxis are available at both stations. Both stations have a regular service from Leicester and Peterborough with a through service to London Stansted Airport, Birmingham International Airport and Birmingham New Street Station.

For a lunch that is a bit special why not try our Breeze Hut Menus under Extra Touches where we offer a Fish Platter, an Assiette of Charcuterie and a Vegetarian Deli Board. Our Breeze hut offers the perfect place for a working lunch with a difference. If you stay overnight we would be happy to provide a cooked breakfast by arrangement or maybe you have a budding chef on your board who would be only too pleased to show off his or her skills. We do not have an alcohol licence but are happy to receive a supermarket delivery to suit your palate and pocket.

Three twin bedrooms provide overnight accommodation for some of your team and there are some excellent hotels and bed and breakfast establishments in the area.

Dick Milton is a recently retired Chairman of a client’s family farming company, a business consultant and former Partnership Manager of a large national partnership and has wide experience of making sure that your meeting is quietly and efficiently organised so that you are not distracted from the real business of the day.
